WHILE STEPHEN MOORE AND TONY McHUGH were slippin' and slidin' their way to victory in the downpour at the Tipperary Forest Rally - of the 107 cars that started barely 40 finished - the rebel Formula 1 teams were all coming into line for the 2008 championship. Renault, BMW, Mercedes, Toyota and Honda had said they would form their own championship if they weren't given a greater say in the running of F1. There main bone of contention is over the influence of technology in the motorsport. The FIA has been keen to freeze engine performance wishing the manufacturers to look into making them more efficient.
