LAST WEEKEND SAW SOME FEROCIOUS ACTION in motorsports across Ireland and the world. In the Maine Forest Rally, USA, the Irish crews had a mixed time of it with some of the hot favourites not making it to the starting line. But that didn't mean to say there wasn't plenty of action with Stig Blomqvist (remember him?) coming in second to the Canadian brother and sister act of Patrick and Nathalie Richard. Mark McElduff and Damian Irwin were the best of the Irish here although there was a better showing by the home grown boys in the River Valley Rally on the Saturday.
