NEWS THIS WEEK REACHES US of an initiative by the Garda Siochana in Donegal to help promote safer driving and calm the enthusiastic and often skilled demonstrations on the public roads that could have potentially fatal consequences. This initiative should be given the public’s full support. This initiative is aimed at encouraging diffing and drifting in controlled areas where the cars can be driven in safety. These events must be run and marshalled with safety as a priority.
